“The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease. ”
~ Thomas Edison
Dr. Trent Leisey
Co-Owner and Founder of Elevate Chiropractic
Dr. Trent is a native of Valdosta and a 2003 graduate of Lowndes High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in Communications from Valdosta State Univeristy. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University, in Marietta, Ga. He is a firm believer in the body's unique ability to heal itself, from the inside out. Dr. Trent is returning home to Valdosta, after practicing in Hilton Head, SC, and is excited to finally be able to give back, and take care of his home community.
Dr. Trent has experience adjusting people of all shapes, sizes, and ages, from his youngest patient at 3 days old to his oldest patient at 91 years young. Dr. Trent believes that everyone should be checked for vertebral subluxations, and adjusted as needed, whether they have symptoms or not. He knows that people should invest time into their health today, or they will have to invest time into sickness down the road.
Dr. Trent is one out of around 250 people in the world who has advanced proficiency certification in Torque Release Technique, the newest and most advanced technique in chiropractic. This technique was created by an MD/DC with the expectation that it would
allow for patients to never plateau in their journey to a healthy lifestyle. When it comes to dealing with one's health, Dr. Trent knows that vision is "believing to see, and not seeing to believe." He believes that people need to have a little bit of faith in their body's own healing potential and if they will take the leap of faith, then they will find out how amazing their body actually can be.
In addition to Torque Release Technique, Dr. Trent also utilizes Thompson Technique, Activator Methods, Full Spine, and Gonstead Technique. At Elevate Chiropractic, we have a technique that fits any type of patient. From patients who like manual adjustments to the patients who like instrument adjustments, we have something for everyone. Dr. Trent states that chiropractic is a wonderful profession, and it works no matter what the technique.
The stories behind Dr. Trent's decision to become a principled chiropractor.
Dr. Trent had been a regular chiropractic patient since he was a small child. When he was just 23 years old, Dr. Trent held a position as a District Manager for a Fortune 500 Company for 4 years prior to making his life-changing decision to leave it all behind in order to attend chiropractic school at Life University. Dr. Trent's decision to attend chiropractic school was based on his own personal experience with chiropractic care. Dr. Leisey decided to revisit his chiropractor as a last resort for an ongoing health issue that was heading towards surgery. Through chiropractic intervention, Dr. Trent's health issue was resolved, resulting in no surgery. This was the moment in his life when he realized that there was more to this "chiropractic thing," than just pain and posture.
